Just by learning The Wonder Woman Pose or the Power Pose as it is also called and you will feel that you can take on the world. I’m not kidding, The Wonder Woman Pose literally take two minutes, add it to your morning routine and you can take on your grumpy boss, deal with your two year old and their tantrums, go and negotiate with your bank manager or your boss, basically go forth and crush your goals. All before breakfast. Okay maybe I’m exaggerating, but you get my drift, right? Your motivation will go through the roof! Sadly I can’t take credit for it, this remarkable achievement goes to Dr Amy Cuddy I strongly advise you to take a look at this fabulous incredible brave lady, she will blow you away, but back to the The Wonder Woman Pose. What is it, what does it do and more importantly how can it help YOU?

Non Verbal Communications

First of all let’s talk about Non Verbal Communications, I mentioned NVC’s to a friend of mine the other day and they looked at me blankly. “Body language.” I said. Or as Wikipedia interprets it: Non verbal communication is the transmission of messages or signals through a nonverbal platform such as eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, posture, and body language.

We all know someone whose face paints a thousands words when they see something they disagree with but they don’t actually verbalise it, but that look and the intake of breath, the shifting in their seat and crossing of the arms says more than enough.

She needs to think about a Power Pose

It’s easy to spot the strong willed Alphas, as Dr Amy Caddy said when they walk into the room and they stretch out, feet up on the desk, or as often happens on the tube or the train the man spreading. Then there’s the wall flowers, the shy, head down, hand on neck quiet, submissive people. I could talk about body language all day and I still have so much to learn, but this is all about MOTIVATION so why are NVCs so important? It’s important because how you look and how you feel keeps that motivation hot. It keeps you inspired.
