Do You Believe In Yourself 100%?
It’s a simple question
Do you believe in yourself totally wholeheartedly? Let me put it another way. Do you believe you will achieve what you have set out to do? Do you want to be the very best and have the very best or will you settle for mediocre?
Are you okay with the ordinary, for the vanilla or would you prefer a life full of vibrancy and colour? Do you want the sporty model but settle for the basic car. You’d prefer the 60″ TV, but hey, you gonna have to settle for the 42″. Are you going to settle for the run-of-the-mill everything? You’d like to quit smoking but when someone laughs and offers you a cigarette, cos you’ve always smoked… one more isn’t going to hurt, is it? Or is it?
Is it okay to come second place? To face disappointment again and again? It can be a lonely and disappointing road.
When I was at school we had Sports Days and we ran to win and it was a proud achievement. I knew it was the one day of the year when I was going to excel, I was never an academic genius but sports day was my chance to shine. These days, it’s “thanks for taking part.”Seriously?I know the argument is not every kid is good at running, etc but hey, I was lousy at maths, but they didn’t deliberately get questions wrong so I could reach the top of the league to make me feel better.
Life is a competition
You don’t live life to be second best. You don’t go to a job interview just to take part. Thanks for coming!!! Life is full of disappointments, you deal with it, you learn and you move on. You have to believe in yourself, because if you don’t believe in YOU who else is going to believe in YOU? Live your life to win, to be the best you can be and then some.
Keep those dreams and ambitions in focus. Remember whatever it is you want, you can do it, but you have to believe in yourself, truly believe. Commit to getting up in the morning and focus on making it one step closer to whatever it is you are driving towards.
Ignore the negative people. Push for that extra mile. Don’t eat that biscuit. Crush those cigarettes. Look for that job. Ask for that promotion. Do that extra hour of study. DON’T HIT THAT SNOOZE BUTTON. Stay focused.
So I ask that same question again. Do you believe in you? It’s a simple question. Do you believe in yourself? Let me put it another way. Do you believe you will achieve what you have set out to do? Do you want to be the very best and have the very best or will you settle for mediocre? The choice is in your hands.
